Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner, H3044

Customer Review: Good Value
Summary: 4 Stars

This made cleaning tile much easier though it was a three step process. The only problem I encountered was the tile has dimples and the cleaner didn't do as well on those as I would have liked. Otherwise I would recommend it...much easier than scrubbing on hands and knees. Also the price was best I found.

Customer Review: Good but you need to improvise
Summary: 4 Stars

I really like the idea of the floor scrubber. The things I don't like are: you get the water on the floor by using a "trigger" button, it makes my fingers tired. The water sprays, the scrubbers scrub and the water get sucked up all at the same time. There is really no time for the water to be on the floor. I improvise by using my mop to wet the entire floor to loosen the dirt. Then I use the FloorMate to clean it up. It gets the floor much cleaner. And it dries almost instantly.

Customer Review: Good idea....bad product
Summary: 1 Stars

As much as I want this item to be wonderful, it couldn't be further from it. To be extremely fair to Hoover I haven't owned one or two or three but four of these. (2 turquoise, 1 lime green and 1 purple) In addition, my sister-in-law owns one as well. Both of us have had the same problem with all of the cleaners. After about six months the cleaner breaks a seal or something and when you stop it and leave it in one place water leaks all over. I will give Hoover credit, the cheaper model that doesn't have rotating brushes actually works better and doesn't leak (not yet anyway). Unfortunately, I gave it away when the new model with rotating brushes came out. Needless to say....save your money.

Customer Review: Good if you clean messes when they happen
Summary: 4 Stars

This machine will not dissolve gunk that your kids leave around the house, and you don't realize the mess til a day or two later.

I bought this because I had broken a glass bottle full of syrupy stuff (and reading the reviews here on Amazon). After picking up the big pieces of glass, I vacuumed up the smaller pieces and liquid with the vac option, and then cleaned the floor with the regular bristles. Amazing! No stickiness and excessive rinsing! Love this!

It did not pick up drips of jelly that had congealed for a day. That will still need to be wiped up before hand. It's still easier, cleaner, and more satisfying than a mop and bucket.

Customer Review: Good if you have a bad back
Summary: 3 Stars

This cleaner is for people who are too lazy to sweep and mop, or people who can't physically bend over. It will clean your floor, but it takes longer than regular sweeping and mopping. The scrubbers get up light dirt, but don't fully clear up sticky or "dried in" messes. It is an ok product, but an average adult could just do the regular sweep and mop thing more quickly.

As an added bonus you get to store another machine and buy cleaning liquid for it.
